The Intro-
There’s not much you can say to begin with other than this game is about balls, pure and simple.

The Good-
Well, the good news is that it’s not just any old balls. Obulis is a puzzle game revolving around getting colored balls to fall into their corresponding colored jars. The game takes you through a variety of locationally-themed levels from deserts to ponds to ruins - each with it’s own challenges. The gameplay mechanic is pretty simple and it follows a basics physics engine. You use the mechanics of gravity to guide your ball into the jar, either by swinging it, knocking it or even firing it in the correct direction through the level. If all goes well your balls will drop where they should. If not the level resets and you get to try it again. For those of you who can’t figure it out, the easier levels even have a guide to show you how it’s done.

The Bad-
There is really nothing bad about Obulis. It takes a successful mobile phone game, ramps up the visuals and the physics, throws in a few more levels and voila - we have an entertaining PC puzzle game for a small price tag. Obulis more than qualifies as an entertaining distraction designed to waste away the hours that you should be spending on actual work.

The Ugly-
Actually, pretty is the right word. The balls roll the way you expect them to and all the backgrounds and level furniture are very nicely rendered. The result - a game that is challenging and easy on the eyes. There really isn’t that much that can be said about Obulis that is negative. I guess you could ask for more than 150 levels because once you’ve completed a level you won’t really want to go back and play it again. All in all though, the game content is more than adequate for the price point.

The End-
In the end, Obulis is a little nice puzzler for people who like wasting time and taking the old grey matter for a jog around the block.
